Does anyone know if that plant has been running or what the water temp is? Im thinking Thursday might be a decent day but its an hour and a half drive. Any help or info greatly appreciated.
Things can change quick there based on the power plant but when I was there Saturday the water was 43 at the ramp and the dam area. 48-49 was the warmest and the further you went up the hot side the cooler it got. Way up by the buoys on the hot side it was actually 39 degrees.
Thank you
Did ya make it out? Any report on water temp
I never did go. I was thinking about trying tomorrow. Has anyone made it there lately?
I was there yesterday 2/5. Water temp at hot ramp was 44. Warmest water was 51. Went to cold side and it was 36-39 and I saw a few places with some skim ice in areas where there was wind protection. We caught around 30 fish and 4 keepers. No big keepers. Just keepers in the 18.5-19 inch range.
47 today at the ramp warmest water i saw was 51.
Don't know about the bass but I've seen some pictures of some big crappie caught there over last couple weeks.
First tournament of the year is out there on March 12. Plan to hit it up a few times prior, I'll check back in.
Anyone have a recent update on water Temps? Heading over at the end of the month for a few days.
50s on warm arm
Has the plant been running lately?
Buddy dad went out last week, 4.5lb in the shallows. Several 2-3lbers
Another friend went out yesterday, caught multiple 17-18 inch fishing traps
Good news for me I'll be there Monday when it's supposed to blow 60!
Had first tournament of the year today on Newton. Fished tough. Plant has been broke down past two weeks. Entire lake was 48-49 degrees. I caught 6 fish all day. Several 17 to 17 3/4, only had one that would go over 18. 3.7lb, good enough for 4th. First place was our only limit, went for 13.xxlbs.
Hoping to hear another couple optimistic reports this week/weekend. I'm headed down next Wednesday.
Good luck Lets us know how you do. I would like to hear if that plant is running.
Plant got back up and running Saturday morning. Perfect timing to warm out up all week for my Sunday tournament.
