Alright fellas I have a question about BBC engines. I sure hope someone can help me out. So I have a 71 chevelle that I am about to do an engine swap on. I have a sbc in it now and am converting to a bbc. I have built several sbc but this is my first venture into bbc…. But. Ow I have a car worthy of accepting said engine 😉. So I was noticing a hole above the oil filter and went on line and looks like this hole is for an oil press sensor. It kind of looks like it would go to an oil line of some sort but I was thinking maybe an oil cooler or something like that. Idk.. so my question is. Is this where I would use an oil sending unit? Or is there another sensor or sending unit I need? Is it different than a sbc? Normally a sbc is up top and this is way on the bottom. Do I need both or are they the same thing serving the same purpose? Any advice would be appreciated
