As I pulled into into the cove just north of the big 431 bridge leaving the Alreds area heading to the yacht club on the high bluff bank I saw what looked to be a huge beaver swimming to the bank. I was a good 150 yrds away but clearly was a large animals head and neck going to the bank. I put down the TM and kept an eye on it as it swam to the bank. It wasn't a beaver rather a smaller to mid sized black bear. Holy cow ! I have heard that there are black bear in the area but honestly I haven't seen a ton of wildlife on the banks of Guntersville other than bald eagles.
Anyone else see any bear near the waters?
