    Carolina Princess fishing Trip

I recently posted a question about Carolina Princess 24 hour trips, but got no responses. So, I recently (12/17) went on an 11 hour trip.

The Dec 17 eleven hour trip was great. Targeted mostly sea bass in 105' of water. Mates were very friendly and helpful. I caught fish the entire time. None large, but constant activity.

The guy next to me fished a jig for some of the time and caught three good amberjack. Guy in the back caught 5 false albacore.

We were surprised at one stop when everyone started hooking up to puppy drum (red fish). Since we were bottom fishing with two hooks, several people caught two at once. Most were about 25 inches. Not legal to keep these fish, so Captain made us immediately reel in and move. Must have been a large school.

Plan to try the 24 hour trip once weather warms.
