    Crappie fishing was tough yesterday

I was able to get on Anna about 1pm yesterday and fished until dark.
The bite was very slow. The amount of bait is insane and I marked striper everywhere, but just couldn’t find any schools of crappie with any size. I ended up fishing the bridge just above the splits for the last hour. I typically avoid the bridges as I do not seem to find or catch bigger crappie on them. I had plenty of minnows to burn throughI managed one keeper fish off the bridge over 12” and maybe 10 or so smaller ones.
I managed to bring home 7 good keepers since my wife requested a fish dinner before the end of the year.
Probably the last Crappie trip until spring.
it’s time to start vertical fishing for bass.

Denny, I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
waterproof/ wind proof ski bibs and a wind proof jacket are a must in my book for staying warm.
This week I was wearing lightweight base layer with Eddie Bower fleece lined Ranier pants https://www.sierra.com/item~p~99pfy-...E&gclsrc=aw.ds and a Bass Pro wind proof jacket with the liner https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/redh...jacket-for-men and never got cold. I just wear the bibs when it is brutal outside

Ha ha, old is relative. In six days I turn seventy 75 and I feel like I’m only 80. And merry Christmas to you and your family
