I suspect if you are hitting the rev limiter with a 19p X7 you will hit it with an 18p Vengeance. If the Ballistic works, run it.

update on prop saga, I tried the 18p vengeance first, RPM was right at 6190-6290 max @ 42.5mph was the best it could do , with full tank of fuel light load of tackle and 1- 200lb guy, then tried the 20p laser ll, RPM was 6080-6200 and mph was 42.0mph and had a pretty noticeable rooster tail. handling was better on the vengeance. hole shot and bite was also better. just the 42.5mph thing gets me. any other ideas. anyone need a rebuilt 20p laser ll ? lol and that guy on YouTube test driving the same boat saying he got 48.5mph is full of you know what. must of went off speedo and not gps, typical sales guy.

    +1

I took the speed prop off my Tracker 185 XT and replaced it with a X7 Spitfire 19P because I fish a lot of shallow water and like that it planes faster, also loading on the trailer is a breeze

ya it comes out to 19%, so I’m thinking if I drop fuel it says at 43 mph it goes down to 17%, 45mph is 13% and so on.

You’re about 500 pounds heavier than a Ranger RT188. I have a 2015 Triton TX18 that is the same hull as the RT188 and it has an 1150 pounds hull weight compared to yours at 1650 pounds.

I shoot archery and the bow manufacturers are also bad about lying about the speeds their bows can shoot.

Mike...... It isn't a perfect science. When we test them they have a fair amount of fuel, but the boat isn't loaded up like a tournament load... We make several runs with GPS .to get a range of speed and adjust from there. Lower end top speed is a guestimation of what it will be with a a lot of load.

Oh I get it, I was just hoping to get to at least 45mph , trying to get ahold of mark to see if he can tweet that 18p vengeance a little , maybe blueprint. But them my concern is having it BB will it make my RPM’s go up because I’m right on the bubble, or if so can he add cup for grip and that bring the rpm’s back in line, maybe BB will gain a few mph?
