Ultrex Spring Upgrade Kit

I've started producing an upgrade kit for 36 Volt 45" and 52" Ultrex Trolling motors as an alternative solution to the factory complete base replacement. If you have Mega 360 and Mega Live Target lock you'll really enjoy not having to brace to pull all of that additional weight up out of the water multiple times a day while you're out fishing. To install the kit you have to remove the stock spring, drill 3 holes (template provided) to relocate the upper attachment point upward in the top of the base to accommodate the larger spring, and install the replacement spring. The entire process is easily done with basic hand tools and should take about 20 minutes.

So basically it's a larger shock absorber replace? I like the concept, much easier than ripping my custom bow panel and foot tray out to access the tm mounts for the MK bow mount replace (and cheaper)... it's the only reason holding me back from getting the target lock and also the additional 18 pounds on my bow.

Yes, it's an easier modification than doing this to get more lift power:

I’ll try to get a picture of my installed kit later today. It tucks up in the upper portion of the base and uses a single spring. I provide custom mounting brackets and detailed mounting instructions.

Originally Ultrex was 60", then shortened to 52". I believe
the Ultrex 52 & 60 have same base. Ultrex 45" base was shorter.

To the best of my knowledge, the wait list has been cleared. I'm ordering some springs for the guys with 60" Ultrex and I have kits for both 45" and 52" on hand and ready to ship. If someone has contacted me and I haven't gotten back with you please let me know.

Ron. Would one of your kits work for my 80# 45” ultrex little heavy with the 360 and livescope but didn’t know if it would have to much pressure and make it not want to latch down when deployed?
