What exactly are you calling hopping? What exactly is the boat doing?

Sounds like the prop is losing grip letting the bow drop. Are you wide open throttle when this happens? Also aluminum or stainless prop?

Too much trim maybe. Or bad grip from the prop. What prop and rpms are you running?

My X19 does the same thing at 33 - 35 mph. Above 3800 rpms, it goes away.

I would assume 21XDC could help you as much as anybody can but you need to explain what you're meaning when you post other than the hopping.

What pitch prop? What RPM at wide open throttle? What prop to pad measurement? Aluminum boats are very load sensitive, It's assumed you are talking about what is referred to as porpoising where the prop loses bite, and the boat falls off plane and then the prop bites again and the boat tries to jump back on plane.

These boats should have a little hook in the hull. Some have weld beads at the bottom of the chines/pad area. Some not enough. You could add some with marine tex or thicken the weld beads. I'm not a fan of any whale tail/hydra foils, But would also help. A larger diameter prop with tip cup would also help. Maybe some set back/jackplate would help.

Sometimes weight distribution bow to stern or stern to bow can help....

    Lots of choices/options to try...
