    Jasper lower units

    Has anyone bought a lower unit from Jasper engine&transmission ? And how did it work out for ya?

    Nope. I ran an SEI all this season - so far, so good (fingers crossed).

    Don't know about their lower units but they make a good auto replacement engine.

    I’d go sei, about 1200 bucks and a pretty much 3 year no ??? Asked warranty

    i had a jasper lower unit on a used boat i purchased. Merc 175 efi . i dont have any idea how old the lower was but i had the boat for 4 years and never had a problem

    This is the only way to go. I ordered one Monday morning and had it on my front porch yesterday when I got home from work. $1,148 total including shipping.

    2 year warranty as opposed to SEI 3 year, have to email to get a price, SEI has published price, no installers within 100 miles of Tallahassee. Merc, Mariner, Johnson and Evinrude, no Yamaha. I'll stick with SEI.
