You're relatively new on the board so you can be excused for presenting facts. In all seriousness, great info.

Well, if You use that one launch, there is the weird looking, odorous dude w/pointed teeth that always asks for money...

Edit: This phenomena affects the Angler who is taken off their game. Are You a better Angler if You get a solid bit of sleep? Is Your hook-up ratio affected if You spill gas and it stinks the whole trip? When that JayHoff merged and cut You off did that help/hurt?

Gauge for YourSelf (Don't tell anyOne, they'll think You're weird..)

Haven't done much night fishing in many years but when I did a lot of it I always had better luck when there was little to no moon.

In the summer when it’s a full moon and clear all night fishing is tough!

I spend way too much time Howling at the Full Moon to think about fishing and think it might be a good idea to wear some Garlic thanks for the advice.

Myself and 5 of my best hunting and fishing buddies kept very detailed journals for our fishing and hunting for 5 years. We notated everything including the moon phase. Needless to say all my hunting and fishing trips revolve around the moon phase/solunar table. Not based on superstition but raw data.

The moon phase has a large impact with the alewife spawn and the Striper/Walleye night bite on L. Cumberland.

Any results or advice you care to share on your actual findings? Thanks in advance.

I don’t love full moons on clear nights. Know from being out the shad schools get hammered after dark on those nights. Fishing during day always seems slower if water is fairly clear.

When it’s cloudy or water is dirty seems to help. Probably my perception vs reality. Guess I should dig out my old log books.

I go when I can and moon face isn’t a factor. I throw the same 10-15 baits regardless

although, one member did mention something eye opening. Post #12. I believe the member might’ve been banned since his posts are no longer showing up, Since I “replied with quote” it saved it.

new moon-bass feed on crayfish pretty heavily
full moon-bass some fees on crayfish as much, presumably chasing baitfish

I like the full moon. About 2-3 days before and after. Love the new moon .
