Hydrogen to the masses is viable, down the road. The primary issue, infrastructure.
We're lacking in production, transportation, distribution, retailing and even more.
EVs are more easily implemented. Transmission lines everywhere, plug in at home.
There's not a silver bullet, yet. It's coming. Overall, if forced to choose now, PHEV.

As we are seeing in NC, he who controls the energy controls the battlefield. Mark my words, which ever we way go all of us are going to pay more to get around in the future.

So like when the first CoVid-19™ shots came out? Now the 'shooter™' just carries them around in their smock for 'quick pokes™...' (sign here)

Isn't the vapor more dangerous than the actual fuel?

its an infrastructure race, not vehicle tech race.

How many charging stations do you see around vs hydrogen fueling stations? Unless you draw some very significant investment into refueling infrastructure there's no stopping the path we are on to using electric vehicles.

The GM 4.3 had "Vortec" technology, but you're probably thinking of the Tornado Fuel Saver.

Well I can charge at home while I sleep so it’s pretty simple. Look up hydrogen fueling stations and how they work. Pretty complicated and requires a lot of power.

That's also not true. Gasoline's ignition temperature is about half of hydrogen's. ~500F for gas and ~1000F for hydrogen. Where are you guys getting this stuff?

Yep - grab one of those and a can of Slick 50 and you'll turn your car into an indestructible muscle car!

Dump 5 gallons of gas in one room and release 5 gallon equivalent of hydrogen in another equal size room with doors shut and immediately flip the light switch or a lighter and see what happens.
You could also try this experiment with propane but I wouldn't recommend it

I remember the guy with the small 5hp on the back of his truck running around the neighborhood draining the oil selling the slick 50 when I was a kid
