    Question HDS 9 Gen 2 Touch - power plug question

    Hello,
    I am putting an HDS 9 Gen 2 Touch where I used to have an HDS 7 Gen 2 Touch. I noticed the power cord plug has an extra pin in the middle. What does that pin do?
    Just trying to determine if I need to change wire out and run the different plug or can I leave the one from the 7?

    No idea what the pins do but power cords for all generations of HDS are interchangeable

    The only thing you need to check is that the wiring and fuse can handle the higher draw of the larger unit.

    Good point. 9” draws more amperage than 7”
