What carpet does one use when changing bunks out?
same as deck usually get basscat or ranger carpet basscat sells bunks wrapped and ready to go also I believe

I just had a guy redo my bunks including the wood. I do not know the brand nor weight he used, but he said it was a good-quality unidirectional carpet. He emphasized unidirectional. I can only tell you what he used was FAR superior to what Ranger put on the bunks of the trailer on my 2021 RT198p. The new bunks have made loading much easier and smoother. The boat centers more easily.

Bass cat boats website has excellent bunk carpet kits. I just did mine last year and it was great material.
I kept wearing the carpet out where the boat initially hits the bunks. I ordered 5 foot lengths of Gatorback. Covered the existing carpet for the first 5 feet. Might not be recommended but it looks nice to me.
Worlks fine, lasts long time.
