If you check my signature it has a few specfications.
I need new batteries, I have read the forums and have just become more confused.
I believe Lithium batteries are out because of the temperature in the engine compartment where they reside, it gets hot in there with that big motor, add in the Texas summer. I think you get the picture.
I also have a couple of 16 lowrance graps point 1 and sonic hub and two tallons. I get about a year out of the cranking/house lead acid wet battery.
The ultrex is a 24v.
Space is at a preimum on this boat.
I am thinking AGM would be an improvement but again it is confusing in the AGM market.
Weight is not so much of a problem as this boat is already heavy.
My goal would be a cranking battery that can handle cranking as well as deep discharges and trolling batteries that last as long as possible daily as well as total battery life.
Specific battery information would be helpful and appreciated.
Thanks,
Chuck
