    Mule deer success

Did our annual mule deer trip this year and it did not disappoint! The cold and snowy conditions lined up perfect with the season and had the deer moving pretty good. We’ve always been the DIY type hunters on public land. Enjoy pulling out maps, OnX and learning new units and trying to figure out the deer in a very short time. This season we were heading out with 3 tags in our pockets. I had a tag, my 14 year old nephew and my father in law had his first ever deer tag.

I looked over quite a few bucks during the hunt and finally pulled the trigger at the end of the season.

My nephew was able to tag with a real nice buck

We found a nice 27” 4x4 for my father in law. Talk about beginners luck! Lol. Since I was tagged out, I had the camera with me and snapped some pics of his buck before he shot

Since we were all tagged out, We had some time to kill the last day and decided to see what we could find. Here are a couple bucks from that joy ride
