    Question Angola area trip?

Looking for a place for annual family trip including some fishing without big boat. Maybe take small prowler or rent. Rental with things for grandkids. Ideas or places?

Just found on the map the Warsaw area lakes. What's up with the lakes just north of warsaw? Same plans as mentioned before. Thanks

Editing- Pretty sure taking a small pond boat in the back of the truck. Planning on the Barbee Chain area. Possibly stay at yogi bear campgrounds.

Barbee chain is nice, has cabin rental. If your taking a boat there are a lot of lakes to pick from.

Boat rentals are probably toughest thing. Wawasee would have rentals, and believe marina on tippecanoe does.

Fishing is decent, variety of water types, bass, muskie, bluegill, red ear. Mostly 10mph on all but one lake. Small boat you can lock thru to tippy.

Tippy is better bass fishing from a size stand point. If you take a boat Barbee is centrally located to a bunch of lakes.

No, most of the lakes have very little shore fishing. Only lakes I know of with good areas of shoreline fishing is mississenwa and salamonie in the north central part of state. Outside of that most of them are either houses or tough areas to get into at the few state owned properties.

One reason to take a little pond boat with trolling motor. But where to start with all the many many small lakes?

Hamilton Lake I think has boat rentals from the local marinas. Lake James chain may also have rentals. Pokagon or maybe one of the marinas on the chain.
