Great movie but the guns are all wrong. Wayne returns from the Civil War which ended in 1865, carrying a Colt 1873 SAA which was well worn. A few years into the movie they are using 1892 Winchesters. Same happens in most all westerns but I still love them.

Agreed. It's called artistic license. Many a time I've told a girlfriend it was 8-8 1/2 inches long...then they measured it and found that in reality it was only 6", as all dollar bills are

C'mon man, you have to keep up with the story line. If he had flown the plane and landed in Chief Cicatriz's (Scar's) camp with any less than 50 gallons he would not have had enough fuel to take off and fly back home after saving Natalie Woods.
