I have 2022 ZXR21 with hummingbird. I'm adding Garmin 106 to the console. Hummingbird transducer is located right behind the jack plate on starboard side.
Where should I mount the Garmin transducer to get the best reading.
Thanks

Bob,the Garmin should work there. Don't forget about the shoot-thru if you are totally removing the bird.
Thanks. Garmin is additional to Hummingbird.
Are you going to mount it to hull or jackplate? I am trying to figure out how to do the same exact thing but am not going to spend 200 dollars on a aftermarket bracket for the ducer
Thats a good option.
I was thinking stern saver transducer mount cost 15.99 at Bass Pro Shop.
Removing Hummingbird and re-mounting it on stern saver next to the Garmin transducer
The Stern Saver should seal up the holes from the hummingbird and save the hull from more holes being drilled in the hull
Used it on my last boat never came loose.
Bob, beware of crosstalk and that causes interference with your display. mounting them close together could cause problems.
Why the Garmin if your going to keep HB Side and down iage?
I was wondering about interference. What's your thoughts on mounting?
Not much of Hummingbird fan.
I'm going to keep it, learn it and using it for an instrument cluster.
Last boat had Lowrance switch to Garmin, and I liked it.
If you could buy Skeeter with a choice of graph, I would have gone with Garmin.
Well that is always a unknown. Mixing units can get crazy. It always seems to boil down to your option of what you want to see where. HB is frequency sensitive, when you get to M360 & Live. Since you plan to use it as Instrument cluster, I'd just leave the HB transducer off. If you decide to use the side imaging transducer later, I'd mount it to a pvc pipe and hang it off the back of the boat and check for Interference before I drilled more holes.
Thanks, all good options. I appreciate the in put.
