Pretty cool. I hope they get him aged to verify how old he is. Any other pics floating around?

If he was that big at ten, I wonder how big he was at 7-8 years old.

Yep that’s a good one. Probably is that old and must have had a good steady diet of protein. Just very few killed this size around my state. Hard for them to make it to an old age.

Still an impressive buck even in his twilight years. Interesting comment by the hunter at the end about it being old and needing to be removed from the herd. What is his reasoning? For the health of the gene pool, I'd think you'd want him to keep breeding. Imagine his rack in it's prime sitting on top of a piebald.

They don't make it anywhere close to that age up here...
Haven't seen a single deer since gun season ended a week ago. I think they killed'ed all.

Sounds like he had been wounded several times before. I don't hunt.

“He was real nice two years ago when my buddy shot him. He was old and going downhill and he really needed to be taken out of the herd, but I still enjoyed it,” he said.

I am pretty sure this county only allows bow hunting or maybe shotgun not sure on the shotgun with slug only. But pretty sure no rifle hunting for deer.
