Thoughts on using a 100ah Lithium trolling motor battery for my river boat.
Can I use a non starting lithium for a small 3 cylinder efi 25 mercury for starting or will the amp draw for startup kill it?

I wouldn't use a battery that wasn't designed for starting. It's going to have a spike that will probably shut down the bms, or even damage the battery.
I *think* lithium batteries designed for starting have capacitors to help with the load. I use an Ionic for my trolling motor. When my cranking battery dies I'll be getting an Ionic to replace it.
