May and June were exceptional for me this year. July became tuff but that was most likely just me losing the fish movements. Typical grass patterns.

I thought the Smallwood Campground was going to open in 2023....Maybe someone else knows for sure.
Campground is due to open Aug. 1st. You can make reservations online for dates after Aug.

Based on salinity levels, river flow rate (determined by amount of precipitation upstream), and weather conditions, the grass types, location, health, and density change every year and throughout the fishing season. It really a different river every year with regards to vegetation.
