USA Newer Pick-Up’s real world gas mileage figures towing dual axle bass boat?

Looking at a new to me boat hauler -specifically 2017 -2020 picks ups. I am hearing the tundra in that year is around 10-12 mpg towing on highway ( which is about the same I am getting now in my 07 Yukon) -not interested in going diesel curious to know what kind of gas mileage guys are getting cruising the highway around 70 with a dual axle bass boat using a newer pick up(2017-2020 years) -I am open to Ford, GMC Chevy -had a ram a few years back -not good at all on the highway gas mileage wise…..

2019 Ram 1500 here. At 70MPH and fairly flat terrain 13-14MPG. Add some hills and it drops 1MPG to 12-13MPH. Bump it up to 75MPH and I'm at 11.5-13MPG.

Too many variables such as weather, terrain, and weight of the boat at the time. They all pretty much get the same MPG towing +/- 1-2 mpg

The gas engines are all so close in gas mileage when towing, it is negligible.

    Buy the truck you want.

2020 Silverado with a 5.3, here in the hills of Tn. I’ve averaged 13.6 over 9000 miles towing the boat.

I wouldn't discount a Ram; with an older Ram (with a 6 speed transmission) running from PA to Nags Head, NC (when we went to OBX) I would be close to empty by the time we got there if I didn't stop for gas.
With my 2019 Ram I'd get to Nags Head with close to a quarter tank. Big difference with the 8 speed transmission and the new style Ram.

My 2018 Ford F150 got 14-15 avg mpg towing a Skeeter FX20. (weight estimate with fishing gear, gas and trailer - 4000 pounds). These were long trips, 3000 - 5000 miles, with a lot of grades and flat highway. Truck had a 3.5L V6, 10 speed trans, 4WD and 3.55 rear end. Straight highway without towing was 22-23. Hope you find what you want.

What he said; I've got a 2018 2500 Mega Cab Ram, gets about 10-11 mpg pulling my boat. 6.4L Gas. My previous GMC with the 6.0...about the same.

I’ve got a new powerboost hybrid 3.5 ecoboost. And towing so far it’s the same 12-14 mpg pretty much every rig gets. Good city mileage though.

Is this with the e-torque or standard 5.7.

I’ve owned GM, Ford, and Toyota. The buddy I travel back and forth with to Southern Florida for almost 20 years has owned GM, Toyota, and now Ram. All of them have averaged 11-12 pulling various boats back and forth the 2000 mile trip over the last two decades.

My 2020 Chevy 5.3 I get 10-11 mpg. If I were buying another 1500 it would be a Ram with the larger gas tank.

My 2016 HEMI Ram with the 6 speed and 3.21 gears gets 10-12 pulling a Champion 196 at 75mph. A gas burner is gonna drink the hell out of gas any way you slice it.
