    Question on Bravo 1 Props

Got to get a different prop for my rig now that its got the 250 on it.
I have a line on an original Bravo 1 XS part number on it is 48-831914a45
Other than the originals not having dual PVS plugs are there any other differences?
The A45 at the end makes me think it is like the old style tempest A45 that people want due to them having thinner blades. Is this the same on the Original Bravo also?
I know I can have the dual PVS plugs added.

By chance is this a sought after prop?

Does it say mercury marine or MerCruiser on the barrel?

The Mercruiser was the older, thinner, faster model... That's been my experience.

I bought 1 around 4 months ago, real thin but made of different metals than something like a fury so there not as bad for throwing blades as the Fury from what I've heard. I went from a Tempest plus to Bravo 1 FS and I went up in pitch 1 degree and MPH and RPM's stayed pretty close to the same.

Does a Bravo I FS have increased steering torque felt at the wheel compared to a Tempest Plus?

Normally less than a 3 blade.

If you have steering torque with a bravo, your motor is too low.

Do you think a Bravo I FS should run higher than a Tempest Plus or about the same?

Will a Bravo 1 FS have more, less, or similar bow lift characteristics compared to a Tempest Plus?

I have a Bravo FS and a Tempest Plus for my boat. The Tempest Plus has more steering torque ( same P2P ) which is because it is a 3 blade and the Bravo FS is a 4 blade.

I have a question. I have a 24 Bravo FS and a 24 ProMax. The Bravo is almost 0.75" larger diameter. I have a 24' Checkmate / 300R and the Bravo runs best around 4" below (sometimes 3.75" below if the weight and water is right) The ProMax runs the best around 3.25" below. Why does the ProMax like around .75" higher engine height when it is almost .75" smaller diameter? Is it the additional rake that allows this?

On my boat I can run a Bravo XS higher, the Promax starts losing traction. Bravo XS is also 2 mph faster than the promax, despite Mercury's website saying it should be opposite.

There're limitations to the Promax via setup, heavier loads, non performance hulls etc.

Can I ask what pitch is your bravo and how many rpm’s you turning.
