I've got the BoatEFX, I like them, they look nice too. But, with my BBC Dual Console mount and Lives there really isn't enough space for them to slot in/grab on the bottom... hard to explain but they just barely loop over the edge of the cover. Probably would be fine, but on those units I just use a velcro loop type strap to be sure.

Follow-up question, do you leave covers in the truck when on the water, or keep them on the boat?

I keep mine in the boat.....i'll place the units on the boat with covers, launch boat, and then while motor is warming up, i'll remove them and place in one of the rod boxes......

Well I jinxed myself, one of my Live covers on the bow blew off today coming home - didn't notice until got home :(.

I like the BoatXFX ones, but I think they just stretch a bit too much... plus the sliders don't really hold, so if you have a smaller unit it's best to tie a knot above the slider thingie. Anyway, back to velcro straps for me. Not as cool looking, but they just work. Now I have to buy another dam cover :(.

I just use these canopy straps. Inexpensive and fits on 12" graphs just fine. I bought them at Wal Mart.

Best I can tell, yes... they do stretch quite a bit, so if it wasn't completely pulled taught around the corner, maybe that let air lift the cover off. I actually stopped 3 times on the way home, and didn't notice it was missing - I usually look boat over anytime I have top stop for something. Not sure, to be honest.

Tip: Put a return address label inside cover. Maybe someone finding it along the road may return it to you.

tons of cheap options. These work just fine on smaller covers.

Those mentioned by 78Staff are excellent for larger covers.

These are great and a good price.
I use to use the harbor freight bungee straps that came in the jar. But over time they stretch.

They are also good for keeping your jumper cable neat, also.
