520R key FOB low battery

I’m getting an alert on the RIDE display saying my FOB has low battery . I’m assuming that I just remove the four Phillips head screws in the back of the FOB and put another battery in. Just wondering if anyone has done this and is it that simple ??

it is that simple on an auto and likely same technology also

my cars never need batteries replaced but my Harley eat them up really fast? maybe the rangers are like the bike?

I think you may be right but even though my boat was new in April I don’t know how old the batteries were. . Now that I know they are new I’m anxious to see how long it last before the alert comes on again.

these fobs usually have the cheapest battery available in them find a energizer or high quality brand

I think mactiman has a valid point in cheapest battery. I recently bought a Browning gun safe and the delivery guy told me to replace the cheap battery for the combination as the factory battery was cheap and would not last long.

That’s a great point. I didn’t consider that and ordered a 10 pack of the same batteries that were in it for about $6 on eBay!!
