    Fenwick Elite Bass

    Here’s a curveball …
Had a freind from Wisconsin reach today and rave about the Fenwick Elite Bass rods.
I’m talking about a fairly knowledgeable guy who owns several Loomis rods so he’s no dummy.
He said the new Fenwick Elite Bass rods are a serious sleeper…
    Particularly the Spinning rods.
I know it’s not a brand that not on allot of Jerseys….LOL
Has anyone here on BBC had any experience with this new rod ????

I bought the 610ML a couple of months ago. I build my own but was curious to see if it was as good as the old smallmouth elite I had and stupidly sold. Had it out for one 4 day trip on Washington Island in Door County WI where I caught probably 100 smallmouth up to 5lbs. I'd say 90% came on that rod as it was the one I had rigged with a Ned and that was the deal that trip. It's legit, I haven't built a rod I like better for Neds (1/16oz) although I did match the action to another blank I had in the shop which is being built now. I probably like it better than the old smallmouth elite I sold. It would be a good DS rod too.

I’m thinking the 6”10 would be a great drop shot rod and the 7”0 a good all around Utility rod ?

I had two, they were best spinning rod I've ever owned. The grip on it was best in the industry IMO.

I absolutely loved the handles on the old elite tech rods. It’s one of the reasons I started rod building because I couldn’t find another handle that I liked as much as that one. I still can’t closest I like is a VSS

It'd for sure be a nice DS rod. I have no doubt the 7 footer would be great all around but I absolutely don't need another rod...that being said I'll probably get another of the ML's just to have.

I have a couple of the bait caster rods in a med 7 ft .. They are great, super sensitive and very light weight. Have caught hundreds of fish with them.. I will be adding more to my locker.

What models stick out? Looking at the 7 or 7’3 MH.
