I'm not sure if this qualifies as a test. Ok I'm pretty sure it isn't. For the last 20 years and only 2 different motors. Yamaha F50, for 7 years. Now a Yamaha F225, for 13 years. I use Stabil regular, and Yamaha Ring- Free. I buy gas 10/20 gal at a time. 4 oz of Stabil 1 oz of Ring -Free per 10 gallons. Math is just easier this way. I get out quite often, but sometimes there are stretches where I'm not getting out. I feel if the boat ends up just sitting, I'm still good. Winterized at the dealer in January. Boat always get stored with 5-15 gallons in each tank. I don't stress about how much is in either tank. So far, every spring, add fuel to a tank. Prime it till the ball feels hard, I hit the button and the Yamaha starts. That is what works for me.
