I've heard of it but have never tried it. I'll use WD-40 to wipe out the inserts on the guides on my rods. I'm with Phoenix 920 Pro XP, KVD all day.

Maybe it gives it more sheen and bounce?

    This made me LOL.

Really the only time I use line conditioner is when I'm using a reel that has older line on it and it keeps over-spooling or wrapping up on me. Couple of spritzes of KVD really seem to loosen it up and make it behave a little better.

In my opinion any petroleum product or even its vapors degrades monofilament. I wouldn't use it on purpose.

If a line conditioner is necessary, then it’s time to look for a new brand of line.

With 40K posts you should know to highlight the bolded words, right click on them, and select search Google for KVD line conditioner.

Got a good line conditioner story.
2010 Bassmasters at Clearlake.Getting close to closing time and 2 people in the shop. One was KVD.The other customer was asking about line coiling. He didnt know who KVD was.Told him to ask the other guy in the shop about it and KVD went out to his truck and gave him a bottle.
