Guess I’ll definitely add the Spec-R to my list to check out. Is the Dark Sleeper a lighter power than the Spec-R?

A bit lighter. The DS is an F4.5 and the DS-R is an F5. The DS is an awesome rod to fish with but I'm not entirely sure it has the amount of oomph that I like when ripping a swimjig through and around weeds.

If you are leaning towards higher end MB, you might want to wait until the USDM P5 hit the shelves. There is a new Daemos in the lineup and it's also a very good swim jig. Somewhere in this BBC thread is a video of the models and a link to a Tackle Tour article about all the new models - https://www.bbcboards.net/showthread.php?t=1199032

I like the ALX Enox Decoy for 1/4-3/8 oz jigs.
