    2022 115 pro XS

    I am getting a new boat comes with the standard gear case .Can I upgrade the lower unit to the ct gear castor is there more to it then that ?

    No, you can upgrade it to the CT gear case.

    If you were to purchase a CT Gearcase, it could be fitted to the engine. I would, however, talk with Mercury (directly) based on your engine serial number before doing it (as it is, in reality, a modification of the product). There have been situations where a gear ratio, or gearcase change was recorded and approved.
