    Question Reflex sight question

Just put one on my .22 rifle, thing is really cool. 1st one I have ever owned. Probably a dumb question, when not in use for days or weeks should I turn the brightness down too zero? I would think that would save battery life. Nothing in the instructions is why I am asking. Thanks in advance.

It will save battery life. Some last several years on a nominal setting and some will die quickly. Holographic models consume a lot more power than a simple quality red dot.

My Aimpoint PRO has a 30,000 hour battery life in 1-7 per the manufacturer but I still have it off when it's just sitting.

Turn it down as low as it will go when storing it. Most have a long battery life. Even the cheaper ones.

Get one with shake awake. It shuts down when not in use and powers up as soon as you pick it up.
