Praying Might be time to think about replacing

Have hunted out of this stand for about the last 12 years or so. Replaced the cables once or twice, and the seat as well. It’s been a great stand, and I have killed a bunch of deer, hogs, and a few bobcats out of it. It is starting to show significant wear where the cables lock into the stand, so will most likely retire it at the end of this season. Probably replace it with the same Summit model (Goliath) unless one of you guys have a suggestion.

You can buy just the cables.

It’s worn the welded aluminum bracket where the cables lock into the stand. I’ve been through a couple sets of cables on it.

Better to retire it and get a replacement stand. 20 foot up a tree is not a place to question your equipment.

I would agree with this statement. No use taking chances for a $150 stand. Buy another one.

If you go to Archerytalk and search "best climber" you'll see Summit come up again and again so I think you're on the right track but everyone seems to have different preferences on the models.
