Thought I would treat myself to something nice.

I have a couple of old beaters and synthetic stocked shotguns but wanted something just for busting clays and nice weather upland hunts. After a few weeks of shopping I chose the Franchi Affiniti. Tons of great reviews on durability and reliability, hope to get her patterned this weekend.Affiniti (002).jpg

I wish I had bought a franchi 20 gauge aluminum receiver colt of the A5 when they were plentiful.

Nice gun. My suggestion, run 3" game loads for the first 100-200 rounds of shooting clays and break it in hard. Mine had a real hard time reliably cycling trap loads straight out of the box but ran well after eating 100 rounds of game loads which made no sense to me. Very nice pick up.

Buddy has one, isn't as reliable as my stoeger. He gets a few failures to feed or eject, but they recommend shooting some high brass to break it in and don't think he did. Overall I like his, have shot it more than once, and i considered buying one. Just would cycle a 100 or so heavy loads thru it.
