    Electrical Problem

Last outing started engine, 2003 150 Evinrude Ficht, mounted to a 2003 Stratos 185, went to trim up and it was not working and noticed the trim and fuel gauges not working. Got to the dock to load up and engine wouldn't even turn over like it had no battery power. Turning the key I also notice the systems check beep and lights didn't work as well but upon turning the key I could hear the fuel pump under the cowl was working as usual. Bilge and aerator pumps and lights and graphs are working as normal also. Battery is 100% NOT the problem. All fuses I could find are good as well. Where do I start looking next?

Post in the Evinrude discussion board. Please include a engine model number so they know exactly what motor is in question. 2003 was around the time they went from Ficht to Ram Ficht and then to BRP/DI. There was a ton of changes in the early years of "injected" Evinrude's , hence why a model number is important to properly identify the motor. As a pure guess I suspect they will probably have you look at the power distribution panel. There is a ton of knowledge on the Evinrude board but as I said make sure your point them in the right direction with a model number.

The battery might seem like its not the problem, but a compromised battery acts different under load than it does with a slow draw. Take a couple minutes to hook another battery to it and see if it fixes the issue.
