Last minute trip to Anna this morning

I was on the water about 10:30 and caught crappie in about 25 feet of water pushing 2 double rigs with a 3/4 once weight. I got lucky and the first school I found had good size fish. I had 20 good keepers by about 2. I had to get out before the rain

Not a bad day, and some good eatn! Most of the one’s I’ve been catching have been less than 15. Bass fishing/catching has been some good some not good days. I’m gonna give it a try again some time this week.

Im not far from there and NOT a drop of rain

Third weekend in a row chasing the crappie now. The cold snap moved some of the fish deeper and I did not catch as many keepers yesterday but plenty under 12”. Yesterday I used a double rig with 3/4 ounce weights. First year fishing winter crappie for me. With Livescope, it makes finding and following a school so easy. I may not even deer hunt the rest of the season.

I’m just about done deer hunting for this year. That looks like a good time. As a fair weather fisherman it’s gonna need to be above 40 to give it a shot. Lol

Is a double rig similar to a drop shot with two lures up the line?

Google Caps and Coleman trolling rig. It’s not trolling like we traditionally think about it. It’s also called pushing since you have the rods pointing out front of the boat and ease forward into the school. Also called spider rigging

I took my daughter yesterday and we caught a bunch of fish from noon until 4pm. I have found the schools within 100 yards of where they were the week before. Kept 9 over 11 inches. I found a school of bluegill and a school of 12”’ bass on bait.
I tried a different filet method and noticed most of the fish already had the yellow egg sacs in them. Needless to say I am a bit confused on this one.

This one of the rod holders I made. It attaches to the cleat with a bracket that uses 2 U bolts to tighten the bracket down on the top cap
