Z-craw Jr, rigged vertically most of the time. It looks a LOT like a bluegill moving through the water. Rigged horizontally if I need to keep the bait up in the water column more. Honorable mention to RI Little Dipper or cut down Skinny Dipper, Fat Albert grub.

The two I use most of the time are a Kalin Scrub or a 4-5" single tail grub, mostly Kalins but any grub will work. Why? Grubs are cheaper, more durable and I catch more fish with a single tail grub than a boot tail. The Scrub is when I'm junk fishing...can fish it like a jig to imitate a craw, swim it like a bluegill or bring it across the top of weeds like a buzz toad (on a 1/8 or 1/4 oz head).

Rage menace. Great panfish profile when rigged sideways.

Keitech 3.8 Fat Swing Impact or Strike King Rage Swimmer 3.75 on a 1/4oz swim jig (Brovarney makes the best 1/4 oz swim jig in my opinion). I like the boot tail swimbait because it gets the jig rocking side-to-side slightly and I feel like that gets me more strikes. Second place for me would be a 4 or 5 inch single tail grub like a Zoom Fat Albert.

Strike King KVD Swim N Shiner in pearl white on a 1/4 oz grey shad Brovarney has been excellent for me this year when the bass are chasing smaller baitfish and shad.

I also like Paca Craws and smaller 3.3-3.8 Keitechs and Reaction Innovations Skinny Dippers.

I like the XZone Swammer mostly and really don't switch it up often even though I probably should.

I can't complain though because swim jigs catch me more fish than any other technique season after season.

SK Menace Grub. You can rig it vertical or horizontal depending on what you’re looking for. It’s my confidence swim jig trailer. The z craw jr is probably second.

3.5" Sassy Sally swimbait at Bass Pro...been using them for years. A Zoom Fat Albert grub is another solid choice

Swim jigs are my favorite and highest producing baits by size. I'm mostly Dirty jigs standard in 5/16 & 3/8, DJ Cali in 1/2 & 3/4, and MB uoze in 3/4. Grabbed some nichols to try out this year as well. Gambler big EZ & D walker 120mm are my most productive trailers. The EZ, 100mm, and x-zone swammers are also big players for a smaller profile. The MB uoze w/ a gambler big GZ is a new to me, night time, giant profile, post spawn slayer. My, clear water, midwest lake is full of bluegill, crappie, and perch eaters. So far nothing compares to the usefulness of a panfish looking swim jig. Burn, slow and steady, pulsed, hopped, dragged, ripped through the weeds, dropped into holes, shallow, deep, etc. They have revolutionized my thinking about the larger bass in my lake.
