Just a PSA. If you are starting to do some tax loss harvesting and want to buy back the shares after the wash sale period ends make sure to check the ex dividend date if you are doing them on dividend paying stocks. I screwed this up last year but I am paying careful attention this year to the ex date.

The stock price typically adjusts before and after the ex dividend date anyway. If it didn't, you would just jump in and buy the stock on the ex-dividend date, collect the dividend, then sell it back the next day for the same price.
