Has anyone installed the center compartment storage kit from amped Marine? If so how do you like it?

Wonder how hard it would be getting boxes in and out with them being further back in the compartment.

I had same thoughts. I'm more worried about putting more weight in front.

I already have weight there with my tackle in a Plano bag since I fish on my partners boat from tim to time. Is the center compartment the same on an XRD as a XDC? That is what their description is for. I also have the KVD soft plastic bags in a larger plastic container and this would be much better in my opinion.

Can someone post a picture of the storage kit installed? I have a XDC and would love to have a more organized center storage.

To my knowledge the only difference is height but that may be incorrect. I've tried the plastic boxes and they slide around too much for me.

I built one out of 1/4 inch thick marine board for my XRS. Might weigh 6 pounds when its all said and done. I got a 2 x 4 sheet from amazon for 30 bucks. Took me and hour to build it. No screws or attachments.

I called them and they sent me the measurements of the XDC center storage. 22 1/2" at the step by 35" long and 25 3/4" at the bow end. My compartment is 28" at the step.

I ordered a expandable pot and pan organizer off Amazon and it actually is the best thing I found to keep my plastic boxes in place inside the center compartment of my 01 21xdc you can adjust the width of each individual rack/section.

I cut slits in the boards and crossed them up. 48 inch piece going up with 3 pieces crossing fit snug on each side so the carpet will hold it in place. The back piece towards the front of the boat i left 12 inches tall to keep stuff from going to the front of the boat.
