I found $485 laying on the ground at a sketchy boat ramp last year. I parked my truck got out and saw what I thought was a $5 bill on the ground. When I picked it up I noticed it was a wad of bills and that it was actually a $5, (4) $20's and (3) $100 dollar bills. I actually expected to find someone at the ramp when I got back from fishing looking for the money, but there wasn't anyone there ( I would have returned it). Knowing the location though, it was probably some drug dealers money so I didn't feel that bad. Definitely a place you wouldn't want to be after dark, which sucks because it's a great place to launch your boat to fish.

My phone. Set it on my bed cover when I put my daughter in her car seat. Drove to my parent's house and realized I didn't have my phone. Looked around for a while, went back to my house and got on my tablet, went to find my android and it showed where it was, on the road halfway to my parent's house, walked up there and found it. Screen protector was destroyed, but actual phone was fine.

I think they belonged to Jack Zoft? Porn mags on side of road are “no touch” items…

Years ago I was following a big box truck with the rear big door open and a hand truck in the back kept sliding back and forth on the mountain road I was driving. I followed until it finally fell out and I stopped and picked it up. It wasn't damaged.

My uncle would regularly pick up hub caps during his commute between Long Island and JFK airport. My cousins had quite a lucrative business selling them on weekends

Small tools, bungee cords, pocket knives etc...I did find a trailer ramp off of a landscape trailer, that came home with me and got welded to my little utility trailer.

Found a 5.00 bill at a football game, out in the endzone. I sat in the first row, had a line judge to go pick it up for me, he did..

I used to do surveys and picked up a lot of items over the years. 14k gold chain, probably a couple hundred dollars over the years, diamond earing, several cellphones, wallets, lots of sun covers for fishfinders, have a collection at work. Lots of other stuff too. You would be surprised how much people lose. My favorite one was 3 square groupers we found doing a survey in south Florida. Best part was the boss was with us and had to make sure what it was with a little taste. We laughed about that for years.

One day riding with my uncle, we saw a lady's purse laying by the road. He stopped and told me to go back and get it. I got out of the truck and went back. I reached down to pick it up and it moved. Two boys had a string tied to it and jerked it away from me, stood up and laughed. I went back to the truck empty-handed.

On a lone Texas two lane many years ago I came up on a metal toolbox in the middle of the road and tools scattered everywhere. Ended up finding almost a full set of craftsman sockets, combination wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, crescent wrenches. With not a house or soul in sight it was impossible to know who's truck or tractor they fell off of.

When I was 12 and farming for my grandpa I was hoeing cotton one summer and lost a Timex watch. The following summer when plowing wheat stubble I was looking behind me at the plow and there lay the watch about to be turned over. Jumped off wound it up and it still worked. Not a road find but what are the chances? Always thought that would have made a good Timex "takes a lickin and keeps on tickin" commercial.

I found a live show hog in the center medium of a very busy highway stopped and herded it to the shoulder of the road. It was stock show season she had fallen out of a trailer, it wasnt long before someone came along and new the people it belonged to. She was a white hog and showed a lot of brusing but no broken bones speed limit was 70mph.
