    New or Used?

Sold my 618 last week, cant be without a boat long. Looking at a 919 or maybe an 818. Found a used 919 that i really liked but the interest rate was too much for me to swallow, couldnt make myself do it. I was told that the rates are lower on new boats? is this something you guys agree with? If so any dealer recommendations close to NE Oklahoma?

Too bad you're 12 hours or so from Guntersville Alabama! Freedom Marine Center has several new and used. They have a new 919 with a sho that looks pretty interesting. They also have the 819, pretty much the same boat with a 200.

Most the lenders I've ever dealt with had the same rate for new or late model used

My credit score went up from 2016 to 2021 and when I purchased my 2021 boat I’m at a 2% higher interest rate than what my 2016 boat loan was with the same bank. And when I shopped around most banks were like 8-9% and my credit isn’t flawless but I’m in the 2nd tier from perfect scores. The banks basically just said we aren’t going lower than this so take it or leave it.

You may get a lower interest rate on a new boat. Unless you buy new in stock at a dealer you will have about a 26 week wait.

My credit union is .5 lower in interest on new versus used. Check with one of the lenders that sponsor this board as they are known for getting members the lowest rates around. You have to watch dealing with normal banks as they dont give as good of rates on rec loans as a rec lender does.

26 weeks is what its up to now? Do we know if they are that backed up because of orders or having a hard time getting supplies? The two dealers I've spoken to said sales have slowed since September, ,Maybe its the weather?

I was told the same by a couple of dealers. I have probably 20 Phoenix Dealers website bookmarked and check inventory often. 4-5 months ago, there would be zero inventory. There seems to be boats in stock right now. Freedom Marine has 8 units (maybe gone by now).

There is always shipping a boat purchase. It's not that bad pricewise.

Used boat rates are always higher.

When I mentioned Freedom on 10-12 on this thread they had 14 units. Looks like all the used are gone. Not a bad place to deal with BTW.
