Man up and get a 3/4 ton.My 6.6 diesel by far best tow rig Ive ever owned.Gets better mpg than the 5.3 and only hold 1.5 quarts more of oil.

Looking at possibly upgrading. Right now the 3.0 Duramax, 3.5 Ecoboost, and 5.0 with the 3.73 gears are my front runners for a tow vehicle. I’ve looked at 3/4 tons but cannot justify it as this next truck will also be a daily driver.

Does anyone have real world experience with any of these trucks?
Have you concidered the 2.7 4 cyl. in the GM trucks. The 2022 model engine makes more torque than the 5.3 engine.

My last two trucks were F150’s with Ecoboost engines. The 2018 was a 2.7 Ecoboost w/ 10spd/3.55gears. The 2022 has the 3.5 Ecoboost w/10spd, 3.55 gears, and max tow with extended range fuel tank. Both served me well. I got 75k trouble free miles out of my 2018 2.7 that was tuned for 65k miles. So far I have 14k miles on my 2022, and also trouble free. I change my oil every 5K, if not sooner.
