I have a 2022 Yamaha 250 sho. I came off lake the other day and trimmed all the way up and heard a rattling sound of something loose obviously falling towards front of the engine cowling as I raised the motor. I removed the cowling and found this part. I have looked all over but don’t see anywhere apparent where it came from. Can someone help identify what this is. Not sure If I should even consider running the boat until determined. Sorry for the picture being a little blurry. The inside is not threaded and the flat portion is about the size of a nickel. Any help is greatly appreciated
Look at all the spots the black plastic covers snap into or bolts into. If you turn your photo upside down, it looks like the insert that goes into a rubber grommet that something snaps into or a bolt goes through - spacer. If you can’t find it let me know, I’ll go pull my cover off and take a look.
