    Chicken is on!

I know it’s nothing special but I just love smoked pulled chicken!
Went by Sam’s and just decided I need some for dinner and made sure I’ll have enough for leftovers.

Thanks everyone. If you haven’t ever tried it you should. I love pulled pork but it’s not as healthy. The pulled chicken is so good I’ve actually had some for breakfast. I have a pork butt I pulled out of the freezer to smoke later this week.

I pull it off around 174. I know poultry is considered cooked at 168 but I have found when taking it off at 174 the chicken is very moist and pulls real nice. FYI I am use a RecTec pellet grill so I know I do it differently than the traditional stick burners. If you have a pellet grill let me know and I’ll tell you the way I cook them.

oh ok, wasn't sure if you were trying to go real hot like pulled pork or brisket. I smoke mine on a BGE and I let it go to about 170 and then let it rest.
