What's the best economical CO2 BB Gun (rifle) for squirrels for shots no more than 50' away.

CO2 powered is going to be to light. You'll want a pellet gun, single pump. Check out the Gamo's. They can be had for around $150.00.

The scope that came with my Gammo is garbage. Any suggestion for a replacement?

Yeah you want a pellet rifle. The spring piston types have the power you want for going after tree rats.

I had a Nikon prostaff laying around and stuck it on there. World of difference and 500 shots later it’s still functioning as it should.

I have a Gamo Whisper that has killed A LOT of squirrels. It is a .177. I threw away the scope immediately. It is junk. I put a 3-9 Hawke Vantage on it and it is MUCH better. It is a decent scope for an air rifle.

Also, try many different pellets. Just like a full size rifle, some types work better than others. Mine really likes these. https://www.airgundepot.com/gamo-raptor-pellets.html. A better scope and a using a consistently accurate pellet will really up your kills.

They have ripped the screens on my screened porch, got into my attic, and caused $1200 in damage to my porch columns and that is just a start! They can be very destructive. If they stay in the woods they are safe from me. If they get with shooting distance of my porch, they are a target.

They have been digging up my yard fierce.......grass has hundreds of 1" holes everywhere. Also they dig in the much and keep kicking it out of the confined mulch area and into the grass area where the lawn mower need to go.

I did purchase the Gamo Swarm Whisper in .177.........got a great price $129 and then got to apply a $10 off coupon and also FREE deliver direct from Pyramyd Air. Also got Crosman Destroyer pellets and so far 2 squirrels down, many more to go. And I agree the scope is barely adequate.

Thank You guys for the help.

They like to eat green tomatoes. Don't mess with my maters! As others have said, a pump pellet gun is deadly.

I followed your advice and got a Hawk Vantage 4x-32 AO scope. Much better now. THANKS
