    Big O level

Going back to the Big O soon but with the lake at 12.8 not sure I want to waste the fuel taking the boat. Don't see it going up at least a foot by then not interested in loosing a drive.

Plenty of safe running on the north end at 12.8.

I lockout at Lakeport there are a lot of skinny parts at 15' through there. Wish I knew it better. I have no interest in spending any cash on this ficht.

The lake is EXCESSIVELY too high for summer right now. Safe to run around but you need to know where your going. Should be about a foot or two lower.

Lake needs to go down to 10 and stay there for 2-4 years. Some would argue thats even too high to bring the lake back to health.

water level needs to drop so you get light penetration and grass growth. The resulting grass growth will act as a filter and clean the water up.

There are a lot of very shallow areas even at 14'.

The best thing they can do is simply STOP SPRAYING. The problems with the lake started when the over spraying started.

The lake was kept at 10 to 12 a long while (years) when they were working on the dike not all that long ago.

14' is not bad but when you start getting to 15' and over it's not good

Well I’ve heard through several sources that the immediate jump in crap water from Ian has caused a lake wide massive fish kill. I was going to go tomorrow but have been told not to by several friends.
I have been fishing this lake since the late 80’s almost every week. The grass can not grow back at this level. People who are unfamiliar with the lake think it’s fine because it opens up areas that are normally too shallow for you to run into. Because these areas are shallow normally, the grass grows and people think everything is fine. It is not.

No, direct from friends who’ve been on the lake. Not an article.

I’ve heard the same. Pockets in different areas. Red water in areas = no oxygen from to much inflow at once.
