I have an XRS 300R 1.60 SM Static Plate Hydrodynamics Plate. Mad EFI is a great prop have ran both a 28P and 29P, had to raise motor to 2.0-2.25 above pad. Holeshot one of the best I have had. Top end with the 29P was 95mph solo with fishing gear and 1/2 tank of fuel. 28P 94mph with same load. The 29P took a lot of trim to run compared to the 28P. The 28P was the better prop for tournament load, would run 87-88 tournament loaded.

Now the Performer BC 28P built by Hill Marine. Holeshot was not good, sometimes it would not get on plane but solo ran 94mph and 88-89 tournament loaded. Acceleration and drive ability are better than any prop I have ran. It was recently sent to Performance Propeller to be modified which I just got it back and have not had a chance to run it.

I have a friend with XRS 300R 1.75 that has been running a Max 5 for about a year that just slung a blade just like the Bravos and Promax. I will not have a Mercury prop on mine. The mad efi definitely looks like it will hold up to any abuse thrown at it. We will see if the Performer holds up.

    Jaxbass,

31 Bravo, however, ran into "backordered" parts on my motor - some part for the Sportmaster. Sooo, I do not have my boat yet. Second week of November is when I hope to take delivery.

Dang, this production/supply issue is getting old. Anyway, a 31 bravo is going to be a great prop for you for sure. As I mentioned before I have a 30p Bravo for tournaments and a 32p Bravo for fun fishing. The 30p is just a little slow out of the hole when super heavy and wells filled. The 32 would be way to slow out of the hole for tournament unless partner sits on the deck for break over. Can’t wait to hear how your boat does and see some pics.

I ran my best speed with my Croxton worked 30" Bravo at 92.3 in perfect conditions on my 21XDC / 300XS, but I now run Pro Max 27 for the great hole shot when I fish but it does lose some on the top end. I have a Croxton worked 29" Hydro that is mint but have not tried it. I'm getting old and no longer into the speed thing but was told it would be faster than the Bravo buy a few people in the know. I would assume that the 300R would have a little more torque than my XS but not sure.
