Smart Gauge Information
I know a lot of us have the fuel accuracy issue, but does anyone feel like he other information isn't accurate either? Do certain things come straight from the motors computer? I feel like my hours just sky rocket some days, but I am not sure where the gauge is getting its information from.

All of the engine data is straight from the computer including fuel flow. They fuel level information is from a separate harness. The only one I am unsure of is fuel used. I think it is just a computation of fuel flow over time. I am on my 5th boat with a Mercmonitor and all have been accurate, even fuel used is within 0.1 gallons.

I don't think mine is accurate either. I have the smart gauge and also the touchscreen. The hours keep going up whenever there is is power to the touchscreen. It sure doesn't seem like it should count as engine hours when the only thing on is the aerator and stereo and the engine is not running (with the ignition key turned completely off as well).
