    719 rough water ride

Curious about the ride in the 719 in some rougher water … not Great Lakes rough but just the normal hairy stuff down south when the storms and winds pick up? Was dead set on nothing less than a 20’ but have seen some folks rave about the 19 models and was just curious if it’s that much of a diff in the 19 and 20 foot models , specifically the 719

If I remember that is a 19 ft with a somewhat narrower front deck. The hull of the Phoenix are all the same design. It should have a very good ride.

I have an 819 and love it. The 719 has the narrower front deck. Not sure they are in production any longer. It will be a good ride.

Yea they aren’t in production I’m looking for a used one and have seen a few for sale and was set on a 20’ but was curious of the ride on the 19 models whether 619, 719, or the 819 which I know is a little wider

I had a 721 I loved, sold it and tried a failed experiment with another style of boat. I bought the 819 in January of 2021, love it. I fished Rayburn and Toledo a lot this spring before a little health issue shut me down. Had some days this year that were brutal, but the boat handled it fine.

I think the 619 and 719 are like the 819 and 919, rated for a 200 and a 225 respectively. I've bumped 68 on my boat, I think I can get 70 in the winter, but cruising at 55-60 all day is a breeze. Good luck on your search.

yea def love the 721 just not sure it’s what I need and a lot harder to find in the range $ wise I’m looking … yea Sounds like the 19’ ers aren’t bad rides in rougher stuff by any means def wish someone near me had one to hop in before making a decision … I think I would like the wider deck of the 819/919 or 920 ideally but then again I don’t know if it would make that much of a diff

I’ve been in my son’s 721 half a dozen times on St Clair and was so impressed with the ride I just bought a Phoenix.

yea have heard the 721 is awesome but for lakes and rivers around here was thinking the 719 would do, just wanted to get some feedback on how it is if some rough stuff popped up

I have a 2012 719 w/ SHO 225 (10 foot poles, lithiums, 3 graphs). I've fished all over NC and never felt uncomfortable in any water condition. It's a fast 19'8" boat and 350 hours ago (440 hours total) it was sneaky fast (77 in perfect conditions). I have fattened up the old girl with too much equipment.
It's all the boat I need, but as someone mentioned it is narrow compared to the new 819/919 wide models.
72/73 all day and I could probably mess with the jp height and prop to squeeze a bit more out of it. Really comfortable on the TM and easy to handle in between docks.
It is all the boat I need to fish the way I like to fish.
If I was ready to sale, I'd make you a great deal, but I don't need anything different (nor would I pay the prices for a new one).

Good luck on your search and if you are around any of the Yadkin lakes, you are welcome to come out and take a ride. (I'll be at Tuckertown Saturday).
