    Lake Master mini sd card

Is there any way to tell which card you have once removed from standard sd card adaptor? If I knew then what I know now I would have bought Helix 10's for standard sd card alone...I hate mini sd cards.

Yeah, that's one of the issues with the micro SD cards... no space for labeling. I etch identifiers on my microSD cards.

The only way to know what is on it is to insert it in your unit and see what happens or view it with a card reader on a computer.

Mark them with nail polish and make a key as to what color is what.

I use Ultra fine point Sharpie markers and single letter designations. I make it small enough for 4 different designations for changes at a later time. JMO Bob

I just noticed today after cussing this issue that at least on my G4 Helix 9, the inserted map card names are listed on the GPS diagnostic screen.

The names of the cards are not always so clear, but still helpful.

I don’t care for them myself. My fingers are not as co-ordinated anymore, but I try not to mess with the cards out in the wind and waves. I also use lockable tweezers for handling.

I put a Chart Select map in that unit and Chart Select was displayed, didn't state what lake though.
