    Bunk length Z519

    Hello

I have a 2019 Z519 and need to replace the bunk boards. Going to be a while until I can get to the lake and can get her off the trailer. Measuring it with the boat on I get 12 feet for the long boards and 5 feet for the short bunks. Does that sound correct? Want to purchase the boards and start making new ones as soon as possible
    Thanks for any info

That sounds right, I put Gatorbaks on my boat a couple years ago and that’s what I remember. BTW, don’t be cute and leave them longer if you’re new boards are, I tried that because I bought 3 14’ and left a little extra and it doesn’t load well in shallow ramp’s

I’m glad you replied, Scott. I read the OP request and felt bad because I may not get to the lake myself for a week or so. Otherwise I’d measure after I launch my Z519. Nice tip as well about not making the bunks longer than original!

When guys are paying $100+ to ship a rod, shipping super heavy 12-foot bunks—plus the 2021-2022 increases in materials and labor—could not be what we’d call reasonable. Where our economy has gone forces all of us to think of new/different ways to approach a lot of projects. This board has always been helpful in that respect. The OP is obviously now looking at local pick-up lumber, and even having a dealer close to home build your new bunks might be a compromise solution. Doesn’t hurt to consider all options. Fastest, best, and least expensive are competing priorities!
